| The splendid location and welcoming interiors are the Tejadillo’s most evident charms. At the intersection of narrow and cobbled streets, the hotel enjoys an intimate and relatively quiet setting in the colonial heart of the Old Town, around the corner from the Cathedral and many - as well as diverse - sites of interest.
Inside, space and comfort take precedence over genuineness and “old-world feeling”, which only suggest themselves in an unusual layout and mix of styles that will probably arouse the curiosity of attentive guests. History, we learn, had a significant say in this: the property is actually a fusion of three mansions from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. Most rooms are arranged around a small, pleasant courtyard adorned with a central fountain and pierced dramatically by a tall, tropical tree. Though a number of these lack windows, all are spacious and favoured by the quiet and cosy surroundings. Guests can take their breakfast or enjoy a meal at a cozy and discretely elegant dining area or its adjacent, well-kept courtyard. Past the eatery is a small, pub-like bar with tall, barred windows that look out onto the cobbled thoroughfares, where the Cathedral stands but a block away. © 2008 Cuba Travel Network. Hotel Tejadillo Room & Rates
|
Standard Room... from €69
Spacious and with high ceilings, accommodations at the Tejadillo come in various shapes and are generally welcoming. A number of rooms may be converted into triples and about half come equipped with fully functional kitchenettes - ideal for travelling families. Rooms with windows have nice views of the cobbled streets below, and are preferable to the windowless quarters, which tend to be somewhat sombrely-lit. The decor and furnishings are discrete and give the accommodations more of a comfortable and functional air than one of colonial opulence.

Hotel Tejadillo Location
| A half-block away from the Old Town's Cathedral, the Tejadillo is a short walk away from the major squares and a good variety of museums and restaurants, including the renowned and lively Bodeguita del Medio. Spared the hectic pedestrian traffic of a street like Obispo (where other well-located hotels stand), this is as good a point of departure for an exploration of the Old Town as you can come across. |

Guest Rating: ![]() Havana: Tejadillo Hotel Reviews: "Fab hotel, loved staying here" User Habaguanex Hotels.com user, united kingdom - Date posted: Wednesday, September 03, 2008 Lovely hotel - nice, comfortable rooms and a good restaurant - the courtyard is very pretty and it's just on the edge of a really picturesque area of town. The band who played each day from about 4-6 was excellent as well, even if they did make me and my slightly less-than-keen boyfriend try to salsa dance in front of everyone!! Friendly staff and decent mojitos. Much better than some of the bigger "pool-included" type hotels (we also stayed in one of these, which was fine, but not nearly as Cuban as this lovely hotel). We had already been travelling around the west side of the island for 10 days before coming here, and it was a great way to round off the holiday. Go here!! |
