| Less appealing in terms of history than most hotels in this part of town, the Park View is a good, practical option for tourists wanting to explore Old Havana and spend a bit less on accommodations.
On a narrow street facing the less than picturesque façade of an old building, the hotel is just off Prado (a broad, tree-lined promenade) and around the corner from both the seawall and several places of historical and cultural interest (including the splendid Cuban art building of the Fine Arts Museum). The lobby is narrow and its furnishings somewhat plain. Still, there is a cozy, welcoming feel to it that is not without its charm. A better view of the city is afforded by the Prado, a modestly appointed restaurant on the top floor. Discrete and comfortable, the Park View continues to profit from what has always been one of its chief privileges: a great location near the old and modern parts of Havana. © 2008 Cuba Travel Network. Standard Room... from €47
Though a bit smallish and plainly decorated, the 55 standard rooms at the Park View are comfortable and practical. No rooms lack windows, but fifteen face a neighboring building which does not make for a picturesque view. Sixteen of the street-facing rooms (located on the 2nd and 5th floor) have balconies and couples will probably prefer one of the fifteen rooms which have matrimonial beds (the forty remaining are twin-bedded). Most rooms are fitted with showers and only twenty have bathtubs.

Hotel Park View Location
| Just off Prado, the Park View is around the corner from the Museum of Fine Arts and a short walk away from the seawall (which affords a magnificent view of the lighthouse and Morro fortress). The Capitolio and Gran Teatro are also a brief stroll away, and nearby Obispo leads you straight to the heart of the Havana’s colonial centre. |
